POSITION SUMMARY

 

To provide maintenance support for the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
  • Maintain and secure work tools.
  • Procure and maintain necessary maintenance tools, equipment, data, files, manuals and stocked replacement parts.
  • Install facility equipment/machinery.
  • Complete daily maintenance work orders and repair logs.
  • Provide training to existing and new Team Members as required.
  • Clean and maintain work areas.
  • Follows all prescribed safety regulations including the proper use of all required personal protective equipment.
  • Follows all Environmental Policy and Quality Policy guidelines.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition according to established Gibbs 7-S Guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management. 

REQUIRED SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education, knowledge, skills and abilities:

Education: High school diploma/GED with willingness to persue higher education.

Certifications:  Advanced skills (Journeyman level) required in one or more of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, piping systems, plumbing, valves, carpentry, and PLC programming.

Experience: Manufacturing experience preferred, particularly experience in an automotive supplier, hot and changing environment and/or with casting, melt or metal forming.  Preferred but not required maintenance background and technical training in maintenance or willingness to attain this status.

Communication: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills

Other: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
