Our 8 locations are dedicated to providing outstanding quality and customer service. Brake Supply is more than just brakes! We re-manufacture transmissions, torque converters, differentials, drivelines, final drives, wet brakes, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, valves and much more.

Our Evansville, IN location has immediate openings for FINAL DRIVE / DIFFERENTIAL / WET BRAKE TECHNICIAN.

Additionally, we are seeking full time CNC Machinists, Manual Machinists, Cylinder Technicians, and Powertrain Rebuild Transmission / Torque Converter Technicians!

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to organization standards, policies, and legal regulations
* Ensure precision measuring equipment is calibrated and placed in a secure location
* Inspect unit parts by visually examining parts for scratches and deformities using precision measuring equipment to check tolerances according to the original equipment manufacturer
* Move parts by operating overhead cranes, carts, and lift trucks
* Determine assemble/disassemble process by reading and understanding instructions in the Parts and Service manual while following technical drawings and schematics
* Perform assembly/disassembly tasks by using tools, gas torch, welders, hydraulic rams, presses, electric and pneumatic powered torque wrenches, ½ to 1-inch drive pneumatic impact wrenches and various high-speed air tools
* Prepare part for wash by matching brass tag to work order, disassembling component, placing parts into basket and conferring with material handling to deliver unit to a wash area
* Clean parts by placing part into a cleaning pressure washer, or tank using solvent brush to remove excess dirt/grim and blowing of excess moisture/dirt
* Ensure mating parts are compatible by checking tolerances for proper fit and finish
* Inspect parts received from wash area by examining bearing bores, wheels, gears, shaft bores, carriers, dimensions, and all sealing surfaces
* Properly complete the appropriate inspection documentation, listing all parts and machine work to be completed
* Document parts that are needed using the parts breakdown
* Able to identify part by product number used by Brake Supply and compare to corresponding work order requirements
* Prepare part for outside vendor or in-house machine shop by tagging, completing the appropriate form of the machine shop work order, and contacting material handling operator to transport to staging area for shipping or completion
* Visually inspect all used and new parts during assembly to ensure a conformance to standards

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
* Have excellent organization skills
* Handle rush requests as the need arises and have flexibility to change routines
* Demonstrate accuracy working in a fast pace environment
* Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
* Have ability to deal with problems in standardized situations
* Have ability to multitask across the product offering
* Begin and complete a project with moderate supervision

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.   At least 3-year mechanical work experience or equivalent education is preferred. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS
* High school diploma or GED required
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Basic math skills
* Ability to interpret work instructions and directions
* Ability to work independently
* Overtime may be required based on customer demand
* This is a 2nd shift position once training is completed
