Koch Air, LLC has been focused on the distribution of quality Carrier residential and commercial products since 1936, and is among the oldest and largest Carrier distributors.  Today, Koch Air, has eight branch locations, 30 delivery vehicles, and more than 300,000 square feet of equipment and parts warehousing throughout the Midwest. 

We are looking for a Controls Team Manager located in either our Evansville or Louisville branch locations.  This role not only provides controls system support including control product sales support and estimating, system engineering and/or programming, project management, commissioning and training but also is the functioning manager of the team including oversight of all projects, process, and profitability of the Evansville & Louisville Controls Group.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Responsible for controls sales and project level support to both maintain existing customers and develop new customers.

  2. Functions systems engineer to include designing systems and researching products as well as creating O&Ms and all manuals working with the team.

  3. Performs configuration and/or programming of the Building Automation Systems we sell along with support for third party control systems and support of controls systems sales needs.

  4. Performs on-site commissioning, start-up, and verification of controls as well end-user training when necessary.

  5. Manages the Controls Team from day to day personnel needs to performance management and coaching building an industry leading team to exceed customer expectations.


  • Preferred Qualifications include:
     
    1. Bachelor’s Degree in an electronics or other technical discipline with preference given to candidates
    2. 4+ years of experience with PLCs, DDC (Direct Digital Controls) or BAS systems (building automation systems);
    3. HVAC controls system project management and engineering experience.
    4. Fully capable to use PC including Microsoft Office suite and publishing software proficiently and have knowledge of Information Technology Systems is also required. 
    5. AutoCAD experience is a plus.
