CAD DRAFTSMAN – PRINCETON WV
 

Our Princeton WV location has immediate openings for CAD DRAFTSMAN.  Additionally, we are seeking full time CNC Machinist, Manual Machinist, Hone Operators, Cylinder Technicians, Rebuild Technicians and Hydraulic Test Technician.

PURPOSE
Use Auto CAD to prepare routine layouts and detailed drawings, sketches and diagrams. Project details include all product views and dimensions necessary for manufacturing.  Receive input from various sources to ensure accuracy of work. 
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Creates detail drawings of specific sections of the system layout according to assignment
* Maintains regular contact with the CAD Supervisor in order to provide progress updates and receive feedback on drawings.
* Completes drawings by deadlines established in the project schedule. Works on multiple drawings at the same time when necessary
* Supports manufacturing and field activities with technical interpretations and problem solving
* Researches standards for improvement opportunities and develops unique ways to use
* AutoCAD and Inventor 3D
* Ensures that all industry and Koch engineering and design standards are followed.
* Documents critical information in writing, when applicable.

* Ensures that all engineering documents are maintained in good order, i.e., drawings, description of operation, sequence of operation, owner’s manual, reports, etc.
 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Have excellent organization skills
* CAD background in a 3D operating system (preferably Solidedge, but experience with others is helpful for training purposes). AUTO CAD 2D is also helpful
* Experience with Faro-arm system ideal
* Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
* Trade school drafting certificate with some work experience detailing all levels of Mechanical Drafting (Assemblies, Weldments, Machine, and Burn Profiles)
* Ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments (Micrometers, Calipers, Gauges, etc.)
* Demonstrate accuracy in working with detail
* Effectively share information in one-on-one and small group situations
* Apply common sense understanding to carry out oral and written instructions
* Have ability to deal with problems in standardized situations
* Have ability to multitask
* Experience with ASTM and SAE standardize for machining prints
* Have good computer skills, especially with Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and our internal software system
* Begin and complete a project with moderate supervision
* Flexibility to change routines
* Mechanical aptitude very helpful

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum two-year Technical School degree and 5+ years of relative experience.  Must possess the ability to back-engineer components.  Must be efficient in MS office products, current CAD system and procedures/technology. Experience using Faro-arm system preferred.  Experience with ASTM and SAE standardize for machining prints.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Brake Supply requires that you wear metatarsal steel-toed safety shoes and safety eye protection for this job.  You are responsible for acquiring metatarsal steel-toed safety shoes that meet ANSI standards.  Brake Supply will provide safety eye protection that meets ANSI standards appropriate for the position.  If you wear prescription glasses, and do not wish to wear over the glass glasses, it is your responsibility to acquire safety frames and lenses that meet ANSI standards.
