Detention Account Manager

Title: Account Manager
Reports to: Director of Sales - Detention
Class: Full Time, Salaried, Exempt, Full Benefit Package

A. Primary Role:

The Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with current Customers. The Account Manager is the Customer’s Advocate. The Account Manager is an integral part of the territory sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives.  


B. Responsibilities:

1. When required by Account Executive, assist Account Executive with Customer presentations and other activities.
2. Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned Customer accounts.
3. Coordinate the involvement of Company personnel, including Service, and Management resources to meet account performance objectives and Customer’ expectations.
4. Meet assigned targets for profitable Service & Extended Warranty Agreement sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
5. Proactively assess, clarify, and validates Customer needs on an ongoing basis.
6. Lead solution development efforts that best address Customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary Company personnel.
7. Creating estimating and sale proposals for Service – Extended Warranty Agreements utilizing Company designated QMS processes and forms.
8. Utilize Sales Tools as designated by the Director of Detention Sales.
9. Other duties as required or assigned by Company management that include, however may not be limited to the following requirements:
     a. For designated projects; attends the IT1 meeting to obtain project scope and Customer contacts known at that time.
     b. For designated projects; attends, if held, introduction meeting with Project Manager.
     c. For designated projects; Customer contact on monthly or quarterly intervals as determined by Management.
     d. For designated projects; On-site meeting with Customer 90 days prior to going into warranty to discuss Service-Extended Agreements with budget values and request Customer budgeting cycles.
     e. For designated projects; On-site meeting with Customer at training-project Go-Live to present Service-Extended Agreements.
     f. For designated projects during the warranty period; set a reoccurring time to conduct quarterly meetings (on-site and or via phone-Zoom), meet Customer on-site quarterly as Management requires, contact Customer 90 days prior to warranty expiration to discuss agreement      execution and attend end of warranty test and inspect.
     g. For designated projects during the post warranty period; set a reoccurring time to conduct quarterly meetings (on-site and or via phone-Zoom), contact Customer 90 days prior to warranty expiration to discuss agreement continuation for projects with an Agreement and to attempt to sell to those that do not and attend end of warranty test and inspect for projects with an Agreement.
     h. Conduct a Customer Satisfaction Survey / Quality Improvement Audit annually.


C. Qualifications:  

The Account Manager shall possess a two-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience. They should possess a working knowledge and understanding of the Detention market and related systems. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Detention market desired.


D. Travel:  Travel to Customer site is required.
  
E.  Additional Skills and Abilities: 

1. Must possess knowledge of various systems that make up an integrated Detention Electronics Package, including but not limited to, Touch Screens, PLC’s, Intercommunications Systems and Digital Video Communications Systems.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3. Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized.
4. Superior Customer service skills to deal with both internal and external Customers.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups.
7. Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
8. Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion tasks by a specific due date.
9. Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations.
10. Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.
11. Valid and current driver’s license. 

F. Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements: 

1. Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers.
2. Some light lifting of objects is required.
3. Reaching, grasping and carrying activities also required.
4. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
5. Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
