Job Description


Assemble thermal and acoustic panels in an assembly cell environment. Also the assembly of thermal and acoustic doors.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assemble panels in a continuous assembly team environment, referencing GKS sketches and/or drawings.

2. Install windows into panels, referencing GKS sketches and/or drawings.

3. Packaging and crating of panels

4. Set-up and operate various saws, such as vertical band saws, horizontal band saws, circular saws.

5. Assemble doors, referencing sketches and prints.

6. Maneuver and spot trailers on KOCH property, not requiring a CDL license.

7. Handle material

8. Maintain facilities.

9. Complete and maintain fork lift operation certification.

The employee will be required to work at elevation (above 8’) and will be required to utilize fall personal fall protection equipment.

Required Education:, Experience, and Training

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requisite Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Pass the written GKS sketches or blueprints reading test
  2. Pass a GKS mechanical aptitude test
  3. Demonstrate both written and oral communication skills
  4. Demonstrate the ability to use a tape measurer
  5. Pass GKS material handling training, fork lifts, walkie and walkie/rider, etc.
  6. Pass basic math test
  7. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  8. Dependability.
  9. Ability to understand, follow directions and meet critical deadlines.
  10. Good time management and organizational skills.
