Koch Air, LLC has been focused on the distribution of quality Carrier residential and commercial products since 1936, and is among the oldest and largest Carrier distributors.  Today, Koch Air, has nine branch locations, 35 delivery vehicles, and more than 300,000 square feet of equipment and parts warehousing throughout the Midwest. 

Koch Air is seeking an Operations Manager in our Evansville, IN branch.   
 

Mission:         Lead the Branch level operations activities to ensure superior customer service and maximum operational safety, effectiveness and efficiency.  This role is responsible for both the Evansville, IN branch and the Paducah, KY branch.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform all duties in accordance with Koch Air and Koch Enterprises Code of Conduct, Values, Ethics, Environmental, Safety, and Human Resources policies

  2. Lead the safety training and coaching to strive to eliminate any injuries to team members, vendors, or customers or damage to property or equipment.

  3. Lead the development and continual support of the Inside Sales team members (except commercial) related to phone sales, phone etiquettes, order processing, billing, and other customer related activities. 

  4. Work with the Branch Sales Manager in developing and implementing any special and seasonal programs and insuring that proper communication is given to all internal team members regarding these programs. 

  5. Coordinate with purchasing and assist in managing inventory control to achieve inventory turn goals and minimize or eliminate customer service issues regarding inventory.

  6. Manage, protect, maintain and optimize the efficient use of all branch operations assets especially buildings, inventory, equipment, trucks, computers, and telephones.

  7. Lead the identification and resolution of service problems and customer complaints in coordination with the sales team.  Identify root causes and implement changes to eliminate future occurrences. 

  8. Lead the warehouse shipping and receiving to exceed customer requirement to ensure on time delivery and accurate timely inventory receipts.

  9. Lead the Branch level Continuous Improvement (QMS) process, involving all branch team members.  Address process issues quickly by utilizing the QMS system when exceptions arise.  Conduct continuous analysis of the operations process to maximize team results.    

  10. Perform other duties as assigned to achieve the Koch Air Strategic Plan.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. AAS degree with five plus years experience in HVAC, or BA/BS degree with at least 3 years experience

  2. Experience in HVAC Equipment and Parts & Supplies business and distribution.    

  3. Computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word, and general data entry.

     

    KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  1. Must be responsive to customers and exhibit a service and sales attitude, 

  2. Excellent organizational and communication skills both written and verbal required.

  3. Ability to use PC, Microsoft office suite

    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Involves exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.

  2. Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting are all involved activities of the position.

  3. Computer and phone use for extended periods of time.
